What are the Laws of Nature?

When we recognise the laws of Nature, we are recognising that our ecosystems – including trees, oceans, animals, mountains – have rights just as human beings have rights.

Australia currently does not have legal Laws of Nature, but the Australian Earth Laws Centre and other groups are campaigning for nature rights: https://www.earthlaws.org.au/aelc/

Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature: https://www.garn.org/rights-of-nature/

In 2008, Ecuador became the first country in the world to recognise the legal rights of nature in its constitution. Since that time, several cases have been brought to Ecuadorian courts, on behalf of nature.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if Australia would follow suit?
