Dear Politicians
I am writing you this letter from the Mary Hutchinson Womens Prison in Risdon Vale, Tasmania. I am serving 3 months jail for giving too much of a damn about native forests, about wildlife, about takayna and about climate change.
In order to highlight the ongoing destruction of Tasmania’s natural environment, I have broken too many laws designed to foster the business-as-usual approach of state and federal governments.
I will continue to break these laws because they are not helping us fight the climate crisis. They are not helping prevent animal extinctions, and they are not protecting humans from the impending environmental disasters.
If this continues unhindered, people will rise up and challenge useless laws.
Doing it for the forests!
