Ali Alishah Released from Prison!

This morning, forest defender Ali was released from the Ron Barwick Prison after serving his 3 month sentence. He remains steadfast in his resolve to force an end to native forest logging in Tasmania and immediately move to a restoration and protection model of forestry.

Ali called into question the ongoing support by some Tasmanian environmental organisations of the failed 2013 Tasmanian Forest Agreement (TFA).

"The only practical purpose the TFA serves is to greenwash the destruction of carbon dense ecosystems in Tasmania and Borneo." he said.
